Do I have to keep the skills list up to date?
No. We take responsibility for keeping the master list of skills up to date. When the CVTEA releases changes we will make those changes in the system. Most changes do not require your attention - things like wording changes, changes to Required vs Not Required, etc. When new skills are introduced, we will make sure those skills are entered into the system and it will be your responsibility to assign those skills to the correct place in your program's courses.
How much work will this create for my I.T. team?
None. There is no software to install and nothing for your IT team to setup or maintain. The software is a web site and is hosted in the cloud. You can access it from any device that has an internet connection.
How long do you store the data?
For as long as you're a client. We don't clear out old data and we don't have limits on how much you can have saved at one time.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your data is protected from hardware failure, hackers, and data thieves by having everything securely stored on the Amazon cloud. The software, source code, and data are protected processes and procedures that follow industry best practices. Full backups of the data, server environment, and source code are taken nightly. Access to servers is strictly limited.
Can I back up my data myself?
Yes you can. You can download a .csv file that contains all the students and skill data that you have entered into the system.
How many programs use the Salt House?
More than 50 Vet Tech programs are using the Salt House.
How long has the Salt House been around?
We've been helping programs like yours document student skills since 2012.
Is there a limit to the number of students or instructors we can have?
No, your organization can create an unlimited number of user accounts (students and faculty), with no additional fees.
How much does The Salt House cost?
A 1-year license is $2,000. This license includes full, unlimited access to use the accreditation management software for a single campus and is valid for 1 year after the purchase date. If your school has multiple campus locations, each campus will need its own license.

Any improvements or upgrades to the software will automatically be applied at no additional charge. Servers, hosting, managed backups, and everything else needed to keep the application up and running are included as a part of your license.
